What is your hometown?
Olpe, Kansas (11 miles south of Emporia). Home of
the Chicken House and the best fried chicken in eastern Kansas.
What's your
favorite thing about Wichita State?
The commitment to student success. From internships to smaller classes to
faculty, staff and administrators that truly care, student success is a high
priority at Wichita State.
What's your favorite Shocker sports team?
The 1980-81 basketball team. While they were talented, they also had
a grit and determination that enabled them to find a way to win.
What's your favorite part of Wichita?
There's always something to do. Shopping, entertainment, sporting
events. Wichita has something for everyone.
Why should a student come to Wichita State?
WSU offers students opportunities to learn both in and outside of
the classroom. Students will appreciate the smaller university
atmosphere in a large city setting.
What's the best advice you ever received about going to college?
Don't get so busy that you don't enjoy the college experience.
Remember to have some fun along the way!
